The accident occurred as hundreds of people were gathering nearby for a National Day of Truth and Reconciliation march near Delta, a city south of Vancouver, the authorities said.
At least two people were killed near Delta, British Columbia, on Wednesday when a driver lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a crowd during an event observing the past suffering of Indigenous people in Canada.
