Dolores Huerta, Who Founded United Farm Workers With Cesar Chavez, Dies
She founded the United Farm Workers with Cesar Chavez. In early 2026, she told The Times that she had been raped by him decades earlier. She was 96.
Ms. Huerta organizing marchers in Coachella, Calif., in 1969. Ms. Huerta was the vice president of the United Farm Workers for nearly four decades.
