Navi Pillay, a South African Human Rights Lawyer, Is Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

A U.N. commission led by Ms. Pillay that investigated the war in Gaza found last year that Israel had committed genocide against Palestinians.
Navi Pillay was recognized “for her efforts to promote peace and international law,” the Norwegian Nobel Committee announced on Friday.
